HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT REALTOR in Pineville LA 71360

Let’s be honest, real estate agent is not one of the most respected professions. A lot of people put realtors just a peg above used car salesmen. As an agent in the industry, I can’t say I blame people for having this impression. It is a simple fact that earning your real estate license is way too easy, and some people have the misconception that it is an easy job that you can do on weekends or in your spare time.
The truth is that the job is very involved and in today’s market there are specific traits that ensure that an agent is truly competitive in what is a very competitive business.

Responsive

Today’s market moves very quickly. There is a shortage of inventory to begin with and properties that are priced well often do not stay on the market for very long. Therefore your realtor has to be able to move quickly to make sure you are properly represented and no opportunities are missed.
You never want to find yourself trying to call your realtor and not being able to reach them. Some realtors really embrace an “executive” attitude to make themselves feel important. To me, there is no one more important than my client, and I take pride in being their first point of support with any issue either during or after their transaction.

Dedication

Everyone has a friend, neighbor or aunt who is a “realtor”. That is someone you know who has a real estate license, but it’s not their full-time job. Either they have another job, or actually worse, no job at all. Successful realtors understand that this is a 24/7 gig. A good realtor is typically busy on weekends showing property, or busy late at night writing or sending contracts. I can name many situations where I beat out an offer from another party, because the agent decided to take the night off before sending the contract. Being best is important in this industry, but being first is often a lot better.

Tech-Savvy

This industry is becoming more dependent on technology every week. I currently have the ability to search properties, write contracts, have my clients sign them and send them to the necessary parties all from my tablet.
Realtors tend to be very resistant to change, even though as an industry real estate stands to gain immensely from the advantages provided by technology. Having an agent that is committed to technology can give you a great advantage in this market. I can recount many a horror story of clients having to find a Kinko’s or some other office supply store because their agent is only capable of faxing documents.
There are many other traits that are important to be a successful real estate agent, but these three will really distinguish the quality agents from the pretenders. Do yourself a favor and choose well when you are choosing your next Realtor.
